By haziqbinarif

JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Clarice is a 2-year-old female black-and-white American Staffordshire mix. She’s medium sized and would love to find a walking partner. Clarice was a stray who is friendly and is happiest with a human friend.

Zuri is a friendly, lap cuddler who is recovering from an injury to her eye and armpit area. She spent some time in foster care and now is doing well and ready to be adopted. She’s a 1-year-old female tiger cat with white markings.

A meet-and-greet with a dog is mandatory. A cat room walk-through is available to test reaction. The dog adoption fee is $150 for medium and large dogs and $200 for puppies and small dogs, which includes vaccinations, microchip and sterilization.

Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat, $80 for two, which includes applicable tests, vaccines and spay/neutering.
